My Annual Ride in a Police Car

Heard from Jerry the Neighbor this morning. Jerry has appeared on the radio with me on several occasions beginning probably ten years ago when I did the show from my house when my wife was out of town on a business seminar and I had to keep an eye on the kids. Jerry is an elementary school teacher by profession but is also the kind of guy who all you have to do is hand him a microphone and we always have a good time playing radio.

Jerry the Neighbor will be on the show this Thursday morning with his annual plug for the Carbondale YMCA 15th Annual Fred Ciotti Memorial Race. Jerry invites me to participate in the race every year. My end of the deal usually involves a ride in a police car to a waypoint where I stand with a stopwatch and holler out times to runners as they pass. It's very technical and highly complicated.
